TEDxJalanTunjungan : A wish came true

Cukup aneh bagiku untuk mengikuti organisasi, but I am proudly say that TEDxJalanTunjungan is my first organization!
I used to be so happy when I watched TEDx videos, I was also wondering why they have a lot of headquarters with different names. I remember the first time my sister posted that she was attending TEDx offline conference. 

Well, who are they?

I was 16 years old when I found out that the logo X, was their logo. And I remember clearly how excited I was when I found out that Surabaya, has one. hence I became more curious. I followed their Instagram and subscribed to their YouTube channel, and so on.

The way I am excited is the way I am curious. 

I joined their Instagram live, I asked when they had a QnA session because I was so obsessed.

I became more into it. Especially their videos, I watched all of them, because I was so obsessed. do they have a team?

2021 while I was at a cafe, I saw they held open team recruitment. One word in my head "GASSSS!"

Long story short, the moment I fill the registration form, I felt a strong characteristic of this organization and I believe it is very unfamiliar with other organization-----------------------make me even more curious.

Ketika aku membaca bahwa mereka require minimum two years of volunteering. Wehh, aku kan nggak pernah volunteering, hahahaha. But, it's okay, I'll try. I think aku menunggu selama 3 hari ketika aku dapat announcement interview dan aku SUPERB happy. I remember the first position I applied was as a live interpreter


and translator. 

long story short, I get the interview stage, where I found out that

Everyone unpaid, everyone won't be given any certificate, if everyone look for materialistic benefit, then bye bye. They are a place to develop your skill, and that's priceless.

Sedikit banyak aku tahu makna dari ber-volunteer. 
Sedikit banyak aku belajar ke mereka yang sudah lama bergabung di TEDx. 

Makna ber-volunteer adalah ikhlas, all-out. Tidak selalu tentang uang, sertifikat, kredit SKEM, ataupun pengakuan!

Kalau aku boleh bertanya, mengapa mereka bertahan di TEDx hingga cukup lama tanpa dibayar dan tanpa berharap apapun. It must be something with this, and I'm still wondering what.

Joining with TEDx has made me realize the true definition of
  • Work with your heart
  • Do the best and let God do the rest
  • Effective teamworking
  • High Order Thinking Skill
  • Networking
  • other things that I probably unable to find at other place

My first year as an XTeam was terribly wonderful. I knew that every single thing in TEDx was well organized. From the very first place, even how they manage problem. It's noooowhereee I can find it.

December 2021! Was my first TEDx Event! TEDxJalanTunjunganWomen! Successfully done! Thanks to mas Ipung who has accompanied me as well, xixixi.

Very long poem

To know that I miss you so much when you leave; I miss you in every inch of this city, when I'm alone and lonely, or when I'm with my company, yet you nowhere to be seen. There's plenty of things I'd love you to see, in every part of the roads, sky, or trees; Upon the night sky where stars are shining, when I used to tell you to count with me.  I picked my pen and write— of the moon will always remind me of you. English Debate Cuman Lomba Bacot??

Apa yang pertama kali kalian pikirin kalau denger "Lomba Debat" ?? Kalo pengalamanku nih ya, temen temen yang pada awam bakalan bilang; " Hala mek bondo bacot" (oh hanya modal bicara) "Hala lek nyocot tok aku yo isok" (ah kalau bicara saja aku juga bisa) "Hah?! Debat onok lombae?" (ha?debat ada lombanya?) Beberapa kalimat yang aku terima waktu teman-temanku tau aku ikutan lomba debat. Okelah, aku nggak akan denial memang faktor utamanya "berdebat" ya bacot (bicara). Tapi kalau kita mau cari tau tentang "what is lomba debat?" Well, it is more than what you've seen visually and what you've heard verbally. Slightly throwback pertama kali aku masuk ke dunia perdebatan; Dipaksa. Dipaksa karena kurangnya "debater" buat bikin tim debat untuk ikut newbie competition.
