reproduction organ : simple practical ways to treat ours
As a human being, we have things that we called reproduction organ, and as we know that unhesitatingly, reproduction organ i.e. vagina, uterus, penis, whatever are they, are very important. But, surprisingly, 60.6% of teenagers in DKI Jakarta, have not yet known about this issue.
What's the thing? why it is very important to keep our reproduction organ healthy?
Maintaining the reproductive organs for both men and women is very important. Our reproductive organs are very vital body parts. They play a role in the reproductive system, in which there are many non-living substances such as hormones and other fluids that must be kept.
And here I show you, especially for girls out there, practical ways to keep our reproduction organ healthy;
- Maintain cleanliness and humidity of the vagina, to avoid fungal and bacterial infections.
- After urinating, wipe the vagina from front to back, and after washing the vagina, dry it with a towel. Make sure it dry before you use your underwear
- Use underwear made of materials that absorb sweat such as cotton, and change underwear at least 2 times a day
- Change pads / tampons at least every 2-3 hours during menstruation, so that vaginal conditions are not moist. If you use a menstrual cup, don't forget to wash it.
- Avoid high-risk sex to avoid sexually transmitted diseases
- Use contraception during sexual intercourse. Like condoms, condoms prevent the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases such as HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, genital herpes, etc. STDs are spread through genital fluids.
- Not having multiple sex partners. Multiple high-risk sex partners increase the transmission of STDs
- Ensure sex aids such as dildos, vibrators, etc. have been washed before use, to avoid allergies or infection with germs / bacteria.
- Don't lend your sex toys to other people. This increases the transmission of STDs.
- Healthy lifestyles
- A healthy lifestyle has a good impact on body health, including reproductive organs, such as maintaining fertility and good hormone production.
- Do not smoke and drink alcohol. Women who smoke are assessed to have a twofold higher risk of infertility compared to women who do not smoke.
- Eat healthy and get enough rest
- Exercise and take a multivitamin.
- Routinely check the health condition of the reproductive organ
- For those of you who are 21 years old and/or are sexually active, it is recommended to get a Pap smear at an obgyn* clinic, at least every 2 years, to determine the health of the uterus. Is there a tumor or cervical cancer etc. This is to find out early about the health of our reproductive organs.
